People forget (or simply are too young to realise) how much scrutiny MJ actually had. First it was all about him being too short to take over the league. He proved that wrong. Then it was about how he didn’t have a good handle or post up game. He worked on it and then mastered it. Then it was about how he couldn’t win championships because he was a selfish ball hog. He matured his game and won 3 in a row. Then came all the personal attacks. Gambling, political views, conspiracies with his dads murder etc. He retires from the game, comes back and wins 3 more with an entirely different bulls roster barring Pippen. I’ve never heard Lebron being scrutinised at such a personal level. Somehow he’s more scrutinised because casuals on socials might call him weak or a major flopper? Perhaps he wouldn’t get called these things if he didn’t fail as often as he has and if he didn’t actually flop all the time? People need to stop making excuses for Lebron. He wouldn’t have all the pressure of being compared to MJ all the time if he didn’t come into the league with a tattoo saying he was the chosen one and wearing the number 23.
