I’ll be honest, nail removal isn’t that bad. I had to get my index finger nail removed due to how I slammed it in a car door and it swelled up and turned my finger and the inside of the nail purple. After a week, my parents noticed that the figure was actually swelling up more and I couldn’t really feel much of anything with it. So we had to go to a doctor and they said I needed the nail removed so it could bleed and relieve pressure. They first used some kind of heated needle to burn parts around the middle of the nail, then the nail came off on its own, where it showed the wounded area where the blood was trying to leave from in the first place. During the whole thing, the doctors were surprised how calm I was through the experience since they did mention to me that I would feel a “pinch” while it was happening. But I didn’t feel anything. It was probably because my senses were dulled on the figure for a time, but I like to think it was due to my high pain tolerance.
