Amid warnings from China, the US House of Representatives speaker Nancy Pelosi has concluded her Taiwan visit. She also met with Human Rights activist in a closed door meeting. Since Pelosi's potential pitstop at Taiwan was first reported, Beijing has signaled its anger about her visit to the Island nation. Experts join in to assess how far is Beijing willing to go to show its anger over Nancy Pelosi's visit to Taiwan.

This is a really stupid way to present military strength - as China cannot use all of its military power against Taiwan.

PLA would be restricted to using one of its Commands - namely Eastern Theater Command. If China were to move the majority of its forces against Taiwan it would leave the rest of the country undefended. You should try and present more accurate information which pertains to the situation.

The three communiqués and the concept of the one china policy are no longer valid. Policies change with the times and the CCP keeps bringing up the one china policy and at one time the US signed onto that huge fiasco. In the meantime, the sovereign independent nation of Taiwan has emerged as a true democratic nation which deserves to be left alone by a country that has no right to take them over. You would think the China would have learned a lesson when Russia illegally invaded the Ukraine. China will be sanctioned to death by the entire world if they invade Taiwan. Not only that but they’ll have to contend with democratic nations who will support Taiwan. The good people of Taiwan do not see themselves as Chinese, they called them selves Taiwanese and want absolutely nothing to do with the corrupt and evil CCP. I find it humourous that when the Chinese map makers came up with their big lie about the nine dash line what they owned in the South China Sea that the northern most dash did not include the island of Taiwan. It wasn’t till about two years later that someone noticed that and all of a sudden the nine dash line became a 10 dash line with an additional dash up north to encompass Taiwan and their East Coast. They will manipulate documents anywhere they possibly can to their advantage.

There is actually a good enough reason for China to react to this:
1. Taiwan is not independent no matter what you say about it because there is no document that legalize the independent of Taiwan and there are currently no country recognizing Taiwan's independent. Most of them agreed PRC is the ruler of all China. NOT even one states that PRC and Taiwan are two seperate independent states.

2. China and U.S had an agreement, Shanghai Communique (1972) between U.S and China. Since the U.S choose to agree to one China policy, the visit of U.S state official to some degree will require permission from Beijing and Taipei, if they dont then it will be a breach of Shanghai Communique agreement of 1972.

3. PRC is, unlike Taiwan, widely recognized by almost every country in the world. To have a foreign State official to come when not invited and not permitted by central government in Beijing is a clear violation and they will have to prove to the world that they can protect their own border otherwise their national sovereignity will be questioned. Americans are known to do this to almost every country in the world but right now this mentality has to stop, America is not the only biggest country in the world anymore. U.S official may come and go but the country they visited has no where to go. Their visit could damage the relation between Taiwan and China further and then the U.S would celebrate their diplomatic visit while Taiwan maybe going to suffer because of it.

Yes, this situation is indeed a nightmare. We are walking on a very tight rope between a sharp economic downturn or a sharp economic downturn with WW3. I'm in the pacific too so yeah i might get drafted if anything like that happened even though my country (Indonesia) is pretty much still neutral on this matter.
