The difference is not very critical, so you can choose any one and be very worried about the power, plus you can still upgrade

Not that big of a boost despite in WZ2.

Shows pretty good how the 6P Cores in the 12th gen have to deal too much with background win stuff, making it perform in WZ2 like an old 4c/8t i7. Whereas the 13th gen ones 4 e cores are taking care of that shit resulting in about 30% more fps cause 6 p cores are stuffing the render workload. Meaning Activisions Statement needing an 8 core procc to have a competetive rig is kinda true. 12700k had at launch about 170 avg and a 12900 almost 200.

We are now maybe pissed and say things like, games like wz2 and starfield are only made for consoles cuz its the bigger market and on pc they are optimized poorly (yes indeed they are). BUT game developers finally really trying utilizing multicore Performance in games is in truth something really good because it means really big steps coming towards us. And buying a high end cpu like i7's etc really gives an big advantage in the future.

You can overclock that 12400f to be almost on par with a stock 13600k. Msi makes a ddr4 b series board for $159 on Newegg. My 12400f was able to overclock to 5.2 ghz all core.

Одинаковые ядра, в 13400 просто дополнительные энергоэффективные, которые могут мешаться и не используются в полноэкранных приложениях. разница в 100Mhz.
12400 дешевле и лучше гонится, в разгоне догоняет 7500f
