Snap on just released a set of soft grip wrenches with the tag line: "Forget the rag, upgrade to the XDSGM18 instead", but what are they doing to compete with Milwaukee tools or Harbor Freight 's Icon?

Hell yea glad these “cheaper” tool brands are stepping there game up and therefore forcing dominant brands to either put out better products or lose sales

As a guy who has been pushing and pulling wrenches for a long time... if I could go back and buy these when my hands still worked fully... I definitely would.

Having brand loyalty in handtools is the dumbest thing ever

Love them or hate them but snap-on just hits different. But real talk just buy used off eBay, pawnshops, flea markets, estate sales.

I can proudly say I have never been lubricated by a snap on dealer 😂 and been working on cars 30 years

The gap between tools has closed so much, Snap On needs to snap back to reality

I thought the same thing when I heard about the soft grip on a wrench, I get if there’s oil on your hands but just wipe it off with some towels

I’ve got the student discount because I’m currently in college but even with the student excellence program that snap on provides at my college, I still can’t afford their tools 😂

Snap on doesn't make shit off truck sales. The real money is big industrial companies.

I love these videos because it triggers all the snap on fanboys 🤣 then they try to justify the price when it’s already been proven there are other tool brands who are the equivalent or even better for half the price🤣

Maybe Harbor Freight should acquire Snap On. Snap On can focus on R&D and American Snap On versions of the popular tools. Harbor Freight can sell the Icon versions and allow customers to order from and warranty Snap On tools at the store. The tool trucks can focus on servicing professionals with Snap On products like they always have. Icon and Blue Point can easily overlap and share many products. And, wait for it:

Snap On prices can get more reasonable without a corporate board of directors and public stock. ;)
