Tender Surrender - Steve Vai (Guitar Solo Cover)

This week I thought I'd try the amazing Tender Surrender solo by @SteveVaiHimself!
Apparently, Alien Love Secrets was an album Steve put together to give his audience something while he was making Fire Garden (another amazing album!) and my opinion it features some of his greatest guitar work!

Amazing. The way I hear Vai's tunes like this one, it's got incredible drama, but also an element of comedy. The way the dynamics go so over-the-top, then back to super slow dancing at the end... it's awesome, but also hilarious!

One of his most underrated songs. I think perhaps this is his best song, Vai I mean. Yes, there are many amazing songs.. but this one is the one that really shines

Steve is totally unique and I love him for being the greatest guitarist/icon/diva ever, yet being a super friendly nice guy. Such a fantastic guitarist and composer.

Yoooo you really nailed the essence of this solo. The tone, the attack on the notes, the sensitive/weird timing, etc. Really cool, can't imagine how fun this is to blast through an amp or your headphones

Moving from the final climactic bend of that frenetic solo, back to the clean jazzy octaves is the most satisfying whiplash.
