The 1990’s motorcycle GP era arguably produced some of the best bikes in the sports history. The peak of 2-stroke development at the time saw greats like the Yamaha YZR500, the Cagiva 594, Suzuki’s legendary RGV500 and of course, the GOAT, Honda’s NSR500!

Now to to buy one of these is a tricky old task, however a company in the North of England has produced one of these greatest 500cc replica the world has ever seen and we were lucky enough to be invited up to take a look!

Join us as Felix from 2moto shows us the stunning NSR500 replica, talks us through the build process and discusses future plans for the company.

(So we can buy more crap and film it!!)

That was an amazing video. I had a lump in the throat all the way through, full of emotions and memories.
I live an hour from Phillip Island and when I got my licence, we'd ride to the track for the weekend of MOTO GP. First for Wayne Gardener, then Mick Dohan, then The Doctor. I was on an RZ500 and my best mate on an RZ350, both highly modified. You just brought it all back to me.
What a beautiful bike and an amazing creator. Thank you.

One can only stand flabbergasted at such engineering brilliance. As I've got a machine Mart lathe/Mill and have made bits for my bikes on it, I am in total awe of 2moto's work. Take a very well deserved bow gentlemen

My introduction to racing was 1992 nsr500 big bang article in Cycle world. Just was in awe of the engineering and of Doohans determination to come back after the accident at Assen.
If I could afford this it would be in Rothmans livery for sure.

My favorite 500 replica would ANY OF THEM! Are you kidding me? How awesome are these bike! I've owned 3 RZ350's, 2 RD400's and an H1 and have enjoyed the piss out of them all. This guy's bikes are an (American) 2 stroke enthusiast's wet dream considering we outlawed 2 strokes for the road in '85.

This is just another level. Even Massimo Tamburini would be proud to have built that👍. If I won the lottery I would order one, together with a Suter 500.
That guy is a pure genius 👍

If money was no object it would have to be a 1976 RG500 Barry Sheene replica

Love the modern stuff but my favourites are still the 500 2 strokes. Sound, smell and memories. 👍😎

What amazes me even more than the beauty and attention to detail of these replicas, is that they actually work on track🤯. Just fabulous!!!

A friend here in Perth WA has in the past few weeks taken delivery of a Suter MMX500. I saw it being test ridden by its owner recently at the raceway north of Perth and what a tune it played. I loved that era of racing, and I wonder about the ability of the modern era riders to cope on one of these bikes of the 500 GP era without all the electronic interventions.

BRAVO!
I am blown away by the entire effort. I developed and raced RG500's stateside from 85-95. Beyond impressive.

I saw Honda start up Spencer's NS500 and Doohan's NSR500 at Motegi a few years ago and they just blew me away. Especially as someone who never got to see them in person.

As much as I'd love a 500, I'd love a replica of the Tech 3 YZR250 that Jaque and Nakano raced in 2000. Yamaha's last 250 championship! The bodywork is just gorgeous, the livery is fantastic. I love the neon wheels, and a good old ciggy sponsor.

Pepsi Suzi and a Rainey Yamaha, but first the Lawson Cagiva.

Extremely cool. The attention to detail is unmatched (except for the original 😊) too bad they weren’t able to push horsepower numbers like the original, but that would be a feat unto its own.

1983 Marlboro Yamaha 500. Now that would be rare!
