17:06 yes, professor. please give us a foil version of this video. note, i do NOT want a video on the most expensive foil secret lair cards, what i want is for this video as-is to be rereleased after being given a stylish holofoil treatment. thanks

I love videos like this, because my biggest problem with "most expensive ___" videos it the answer is always a card only printed once and handed out to a tournament winner.

I really like bonus addition to lairs. It's always a nice thing to see something additional, even if it's worth 20 cents. What really rubs me wrong way is "random" additional card, where one of them is ultra rare and ends up being 1000 dollars on secondary market. I'm waking up in the middle of the night to catch the drop, I make my order in 0.01 seconds before the drops get sold out (and during those 0.01 seconds I also spend 1 hour in a queue)... and I pay a price... and then if I want all cards from this drop I have to hunt for $1000 card online.

Thank you prof. Im pretty frugal with my purchases, but sometimes the FOMO hurts, but seeing how few cards actually become super expensive despite them being """"limited"""" really does give me ease of mind.

I gotta say, I love the Extra Life Cards. Having Kids see their drawings made into real cards and also shown "more realised version" (for lack of a better phrase) always felt really nice to me and the cards themselfe look cute to funny as well

The fourteenth doctor is also the only Dr. Who card you can make a commander to have all the other doctors in one deck.

As a MASSIVE Metal Gear Solid fan, the Yoji Shinkawa cards are some of the best cards ever printed. 10/10 art and theme.

Ultimately while I have criticisms with how they run Secret Lair, I do love the idea that they can be far more experimental with aesthetics and there’s a bunch of SL versions I’d love to upgrade into.

I've had my eye on Cabin of the Dead from the Evil Dead drop for some time and im surprised not to see it on this list.

The non-foil version is around $65 at the cheapest I can find with the average in the mid-$70s.

You could retitle this "The 10 times Secret Lairs were actually good value."

Honorable mention to the D&D Honor Among Thieves SL, which is full of value.

I found the card flip in the very beginning more impressive than the transition into and out of the ad read lol.

No matter how expensive the cat/dog sol ring gets, I'll never sell mine. The art is too damn cute to part with

I regretted not having money when the city scape one came out I loved the art on that one.

The Extra Life secret lair was the first one I got where I actually loved every single card I got with all my little, jaded heart. Lathliss and the Bird are two of my particular favorites. Lathliss looks delightfully derpy in the best way and the child's Bird just makes me feel happy every time i see it.

It's crazy the pride across the multiverse secret lair shot up in price so much! I liked up 5 copies of Heartbeat and Collective for around $0.75-1.50 just over a year ago!
