Adelaida | Technoholix, Techfest 2015, IIT Bombay

Adelaida, a group of pyro artists and pyrotechnicians from Ukraine performed at the Technoholix, the night segment of Techfest, IIT Bombay which features professional shows from the biggest names in entertainment around the world. Technoholix acts as a perfect opportunity for an audience of 10,000 to rejuvenate by bringing forth a perfect blend of science, technology and entertainment. Their performance was the perfect example of flexibility, power, agility, coordination, grace, balance and control.

About pyrotechnics & pyroartists
Pyrotechnics is the science of using materials capable of undergoing self-contained and self-sustained exothermic chemical reactions for the production of heat, light, gas, smoke and/or sound. Its etymology stems from the Greek words pyro meaning "fire" and tekhnikos meaning "made by art". Pyrotechnics not only includes manufacture of fireworks but also items such as safety matches, oxygen candles, explosive bolts and fasteners, components of the automotive airbag and gas pressure blasting in mining, quarrying and demolition.

Individuals responsible for the safe storage, handling, and functioning of pyrotechnic devices are referred to as pyrotechnicians.

Technoholix 2015 featured International artist groups such as 1st Project (Percussionists from South Africa, Winners of World Music Awards), Flowmotion Dance Company (Austria), Khawater AlDalam(Saudi Arabia, Winners of Arab's Got Talent), Sonakshi Sinha & Arjun Kapoor(Tevar), The Viral Fever(TVF).
