This is really exciting man! I feel you are onto something here Stephen. The public has a hard time understanding perfume because it`s etherial. One can`t capture it, one can`t keep it for any length of time. Everyone interprets perfumes differently. Thus (IMHO) if perfumery is ever going to join the high arts of; oil painting, of drama, fashion, sculpture etc. Then perfumery and perfumers have to be more transparent. Those in the industry have to explain things better, and with the internet - I think this is happening! We have to make the public understand the process, the materials, the ins and outs of the perfume world - the more they understand, the more there is for them to appreciate! One day there will be a perfume museum in N.Y. open to the public - educating people about our most primal sense. The sense of smell.
