The US Navy has revealed it detected an 'anomaly' in underwater acoustics on Sunday that is likely to have been the implosion of the missing OceanGate Explorations submersible.

Copied from an old shipmate.

"So for those friends who have been talking and asking questions, about the loss of the submersible 'Titan'.

This was posted on one of the Submariner's pages (thank you to the original author)

“What happens when a submarine implodes?

When a submarine hull collapses, it moves inward at about 1, 500 miles per hour - that’s 2, 200 feet per second.

A modern nuclear submarine’s hull radius is about 33 feet. (Bear in mind the submersible had a hull radius of about 6 ft) So the time required for complete collapse of a full sized military nuclear boat is 20 / 2, 200 seconds = about 1

A human brain responds instinctually to stimulus at about 25 milliseconds. Human rational response (sense→reason→act) is at best 150 milliseconds.

The air inside a sub has a fairly high concentration of hydrocarbon vapors. When the hull collapses it behaves like a very large piston on a very large Diesel engine.

The air auto-ignites and an explosion follows the initial rapid implosion. Large blobs of fat (that would be humans) incinerate and are turned to ash and dust quicker than you can blink your eye”

Sounds gruesome but as a serving submariner we know the risks and we used the professionalism which was constantly practised and re-practised to keep us all at a level that kept us safe at sea.

A very sad event and perhaps a good example of why good advice and experience is required when designing and operating such vessels!"

I thought so, the navy can detect almost anything happening under water in that area so I found it strange that they didn't report this earlier but I guess it had to be confirmed. RIP to all 5 who lost their lives.

He literally says implosion, then explosion 2 sentences later. These reporters are thick af I swear.

They died in fraction of a second! Kind of a mercy to their souls 😔. RIP.

If I were a senior command officer in the US navy, I would want the Russians and others to think I could monitor the Ocean all the way out into international waters, even if I couldn't.

The navy are like “yeah we knew all along we just didn’t want to say anything…”

James Cameron has also said he realised all the evidence indicated the sub had imploded at the moment contact was lost.
The serious implication of this information being that the whole 'rescue' attempt predicated on the theoretical 96 hours of remaining Oxygen was a grotesque charade with the aim of media manipulation. This would explain why Magellan was inexplicably held up in the Channel Islands for several days due to paperwork issues from the US coastguard.
The timing of the discovery of debris exactly where expected directly below the subs last known position almost to the hour of the expiry of the deadline was far too coincidental.
You need to look at what other serious events were occurring but 'drowned out' in the news cycle by the sub drama that was actually already a tragedy.

Just the media getting the most out of a story that (let’s face it) will be forgotten by this time next week.

In this age you can't even fart in the middle of the ocean without computers picking up the sound. So you think you live in a free world 😅

Millionaires dying on the Titanic and now more Millionaires dying on a submersible 🤔

If it was days ago how come they kept hearing bangings every half an hr a day ago

They'd had been just like weak soup at best. But at least they never knew what happened. They would never have known. Not even a gasp. I wish when my time comes, it's as quick. Rip.

The US is like that kid at school that would say they completed the new call of duty about a month before it came out

The first ship to crash here was the titanic, the second vessel to crash here was the titan following this pattern the next vessel to go down here is gonna be called tit just like the crew

Right. So a lot of people wasted a lot of time and money to try and find the sub but you knew it was fucked?

In other words, let's use this to distract the public from the real stuff we are doing to screw them, for a few days at least.

The total force of the water was 200, 000 tons.

Seriously.

Under that pressure even steel shrinks.

Would the passengers know what was happening or is an implosion at that depth instant death?

If they heard it days ago, then why take so long to release the information?
