An "active attacker with knife" has been reported on the campus of the University of Virginia, according to police.
Officers were dispatched to the to the campus grounds for a report of a stabbing around 4:35 p.m.
The victim was taken to the campus health facility. Thursday.
UVA officials described the suspect as a middle-aged white male, in a white t-shirt, blue pants, and white shoes. Police are searching for the suspect, students and staff should stay where they are until the order is lifted.
This marks the second time in a week that the University of Virginia has been placed under a shelter-in-place order.
