LG G8X Unboxing! DUAL SCREEN!

In this video, I unbox the LG G8X with dual screen bundle that you can get for just $699 at launch. This is definitely more durable than the Galaxy Fold with a practical design and a price tag that anyone can afford. I think this is what Galaxy Fold should have been for the first version then slowly develop into full foldable screen. But LG has definitely made something useful that can take daily beatings, the LG G8X with dual screen is built like a tank! The dual screen also doubles as rugged case. I am pleasantly surprised at the new LG G8X with dual screen as you can use it as a regular smartphone or pop the second screen on to make it into a foldable tablet. While not perfect by any means, I feel like LG has done more to bring latest technology to the masses rather than bringing fragile device that users must pay attention to not break its screen like the Galaxy Fold. Also, price is right on, at $699 for both the phone and second screen, LG is offering some really awesome tech for pennies. Of course will do it and call it innovation.
I like that you can use it as a single phone, and that the dual screen doubles as a case, and triple screen for notifications.$699 for two 1080+ OLED's, that makes Google's pixel XL and iphone 11 at 64GB and higher priced with smaller screens and apple with one 828p lcd and no sd card, no headphone jack, no quad dac, seem way overpriced.

Awesome phone.. definitely a better choice compare to Fold. I saw a black spot on the screen and I thought is my phone and try to scratch it off but it turn out to be your camera lol

Man you were one of the first YouTubers I watched back when I had the Motorola Atrix 4G and watched your videos on ROMs. Ironically enough, that was the last phone I bought on contract, and I just upgraded to the G8x today. Crazy

LG dual screen is good for gaming since your finger wont cover the screen when playing plus you can organized where to put the buttons.

It would be gr8 to have this kind of "second screen case" for all the other brands too - like Samsung, Pixels and so on.
Sorta like an accessory. Issue though is that each phone has a slightly different size, so there would have to be one for each model.
If the hinge could be made thinner, it could come close to being a full seamless screen.
The " ZTE Axon M" seems to have a tighter hinge and almost no bezel. Just saw a 2017 unbox therapy video of that model.
It could also be made into a triple fold (2 screens in the case), with some additional batteries in the case itself. It would then unfold itself into a tablet, but the issue would be that each screen would have the "hinge gap and bezels" separating it from the other.
Another nice feature would be if the camera app and youtube etc. could use the whole dual screen area - like a tablet mode.
Also would it be possible to have a usb-c to usb-c connector such that you can use any 2 phones and allow one phone to be the primary and the other to act only as the secondary screen? That way we could combine our older phones and make them work together with our newer ones. Case can be custom designed by us.
It's pretty frustrating that the pixels (I have a pixel 2xl) cannot use the usb-c to hdmi and project onto to a TV or monitor screen.

I currently have a LG V30+ as my daily driver and love it still rocks out quite nicely even being a few years old. So looking to upgrade and don't want to break the bank and I think this phone looks sick for the price point and all it can do. Thanks LG now just keep your devices up to date and well be all set.

I have the LGV30 still and I still love phone. LG phones are underrated and doesnt get enough credit. Btw how much weight is it with the dual screen case?
