98, 99gs here and s and rt. I dig the 1100 a lot. Grab a nice one while still cheap - they will become a classic.

Got one in 1994 when they first came out and I thought it was a revelation. Loved it so much I got an 1150GS when it came out and have still got her.

I also got one a couple of months ago. A 1999 red model, very well kept with 75000kms, but yours looks even cleaner :)

The more I ride it, the more I like it. The riding position is excellent. The only thing I would like to upgrade is getting the handlebar slightly back just a little bit and a higher adjustable windscreen. Other than that, I think it´s perfect.
I also realy like the look of it. The analog rev and speedometer is nice.
It feels so nice to drive, so stable. Love the engine, it puls so nicely. More than enough for my kind of riding.

Good luck with your new bike and ride safe!

Because I live in the Netherlands I bought a 1150 for it’s sixth gear if I want to do nice twisty roads I have to ride minimum 300 km of highway. Other than that I like the looks of the 1100 but I am missing a sixth gear. Nice bike do 🤙🏽

I had one a few years ago but couldn't get on with it.Got rid of it and a few bikes later I now have a R1100R which I really quite like.No logic to this choice at all.
