There's got to be a way to fight this. There has to be. 😢😢😢 If this person is a Christian there's no way they will get away with this. It will come back to haunt them. I'm not talking in manner of cursing someone. I'm simply speaking from God's principles of sowing and reaping. I am not an expert but I think if you have the proof that you produce the song/ lyrics long before it was stolen, maybe you might win the case in court.

You own the copyright once you published it to YouTube, but a copyright is only as good as your ability to defend it. It's the same way with a trademark. You can trademark something, but if you don't defend it, then you'll lose the protection. You have every right to publish the original video in it's original context and be fully monetized, but you'll likely have to pull in a lawyer to do that.
