I'm not an expert, but I've heard that sound masters tend to aim some narrow microphones directly at the cello's f-holes, one on either side, less than a meter away, when it's necessary to get the best sound. What is your opinion on recording the sound of your cello in terms of the microphone? And how satisfied are you with the sound of your cello in general? I think it's wonderful that you show that you enjoy playing.

Contrary to your description, I did actually know more than half, but then as I've been the leader of a couple of orchestras in the dim and distant past I jolly well should!
You played them wonderfully!
Greensleeves was actually written by King Henry VIII of England, btw, and although some scholars dispute that, none have been able to suggest any other composer's name as a candidate. He is known to have been a keen and good musician and poet, and the style fits the period and the influences of musicians who would have joined his court after accompanying one of his foreign-born queens (I forget which - my history is not very good, and remembering lists of monarchs and their spouses is the part that I take the least interest in).
It has been said to be the origin of the description of payments to a composer under copyright laws as "royalties".
I hope you are keeping well. I find myself kept sane (or at least as sane as I have ever been!) almost entirely by music these days. Yours is easily the most relaxing I follow.
