Now I'm considering the tiny P4a to back up my iPhone.

I just got a 4a 5G last week and so far, I love it. Bigger screen, 3.5 jack, the camera, and 5G capability (I live in L.A.) were the hooks. 😎

Dont know how much a headphone jack raises the price. But if the 5 was the same size as the 4a5 with the HPJ. It may have been the perfect phone

Great review of all 3 together. I was going to get the 4a but then recently the 4a 5g has been reduced price wise to $349 (same as the 4g). So with that I am going with a 4a 5g of course. Also the sound from the 4a and 4a 5g was better than the 5 to my ears also I am old school and still like the headphone jack.

you know why 4a 5G achieve better scores in running a test? because of its 60Hz if compare Pixel 5 90Hz. You just close the smooth display button on Pixel 5 and test again, probably could get a different result.

Definitely the 4a for me.
It could be the perfect smartphone if:
- get the same second camera
- sd card slot

Anyway, at this price, it is quite incredible. I am gonna jump in it !

Superb comparison. You've covered just about everything that really matters. Truly the 4A is a fantastic buy at $400. Disappointed at Google not offering the 5 in my part of the world, I was contemplating buying the Galaxy S21, but after watching this I'm considering the 4A.

Im using the 4a5g for 3 months now. Bought it for 399 euro. Best phone i ever had. Only improvement would be a third, tele lens. Although the digital zoom is pretty good. SOT is 8 to 10 hours. Its fast, smooth, still relatively small. And its a pixel :))

Hi, I am seriously thinking about getting the 4a 5g. However i mainly watch tv and movies on it so like my blacks and catch fast action. Will 60htz be enough? If not which other phone would you recommend in the price bracket. Good battery is important for longevity as my phone is constantly on in the background all day playing youtube or i player and news etc. I did think about Sony due to their battery management. Does the gaming bypass also work for films on the sony?

I mainly watch youtube and livestreams with my smartphone. So for me the bigger screen and the better stereo speaker of the 4a 5g (pixel 5 speaker are really bad) are the go to stats. Sadly the only way to get this phone is from Amazon because it looks like in my country they only sell the 4a. :(

I was absolutely in love with the Pixel 5, the only 2020 phone i was actually interested in. But no headphone jack was a bummer, speaker sound was terrible, the gaps appearing between the screen and body, and now the call sound issues are enough for me to look for something else. I had thought about the 4a 5G but no IP rating is a no for me. Google makes good phones, with great cameras, and software and plenty of updates. But this year's phones were a let down tbh.
