Characters That Didn't Make it to Crash Team Racing: Nitro-Fueled

Decided to look through a few of the characters that never made it to Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled. As we all know that game received a bunch of dlc racers, including characters from incredibly obscure Crash Bandicoot games, so it's fun to look back on who didn't make the cut

Weirdly enough, I was just thinking yesterday about the fact that this game was the best out of the Crash remakes, and that the variety of characters was probably the best part about it.

They could’ve given polar a skin where he has bearminators hat on. Would be a cool little reference to him

Imagine if Self-aware Skunk made it in and all of his dialogue was just fourth wall breaks.

I’m stunned that he didn’t mention Evil Crash. Could have been a nice little extra addition to the Bandicoot lineup.

I think the warthog from the first game would have been neat, to sorta go along with the other “mounts, ” Polar and Pura. And also the man-eating plant would be a funny addition—much like Smash Bros. getting the Piranha Plant haha

For me, I would have added Ripto, Bianca and The Sorceress since we got spyro characters too. From the crash side, the evil twins, Willy, a Crash Tag Team Racing worker, and a fake coco to go along with fake crash

Personally, for a weird pick I always wanted to see Crab, the very first basic enemy you face off in the entire series. It's just I felt like the roster was lacking in normal enemies and maybe some would've been nice (But I can see why they didn't go down that route).

Plus, I like crabs, they're cool

Not from Crash, but I think Elora was sorely missing from the Spyro Grand Prix. Having Gnasty Gnorc instead of her felt so random, especially since no other villains from that game made it in.

I 100%'ed this game yesterday and its so sad to see this game get abandoned because its genuinely the most fun kart racing game I've played. Its very fast and very responsive! I might also be biased because I played it a lot when I was a kid

When the crates became playable characters, I did feel a bit for Sparky the robotic assistant. After all, Sparky was the constant companion in the original Nitro Kart, was highly regarded by both Aku Aku and Uka Uka, and had that cheeky personality with how it would pretend it was going to hit a character in the face when called.

The Tribesmen could've made it in. They certainly had the assets.
Any of the basic enemies, really, as well as their variants which could be used as skins, like the turtles with their spiked and buzzsaw variants.
They could even do like Crash on the Run did and use scrapped characters like the pink elephant from twinsanity. I'm down for N. Tertain from the canceled Cortex Chaos game.

I remember jokingly saying back then that the reason Willie Wumpacheeks never made it into the game was because at the end of TTR, He ends up as a puddle of slop on the ground and so i jokingly told myself that he was just canonically dead and couldn't ever come back because of it. obviously i know that isn't true and wouldn;t have stopped Beenox i just thought it was a funny way of explaining his absence.

I couldnt tell you why but that skunk is by far my favorite side character in the entire crash universe, when you said "another back and forth enemy" I actually jumped out of my chair... While crash twinsanity is by far my favorite crash game ever, I haven't played it in at least a decade and I can still remember not just that skunks dialogue, BUT HIS VOCAL INFLECTIONS AND HEAD/ARM MOVEMENTS! Like that skunk has deadass tattooed himself on to my brain for absolutely NO reason and im completely here for it😂😂

Nitro fueled is so great man, just filled with so much fan service and love and not to mention the transparency from the devs about what fans wanted.

I wanted to see the Titans appear as racers. At the very least, Ratcicle and Spike since they're the first Titans you see in both Crash of the Titans and Mind Over Mutant.
