Z Wave Plus 📶 Smart Switch | Install / Set Up with Smart Things and Amazon Alexa
Показать описание
This Z-Wave toggle switch is used to wirelessly control lights and can be integrated with voice assistants such as Amazon Alexa and others. Why use a Z-Wave Smart Switch? For me, its reliability especially when the WiFi in my home strangely becomes unstable. Z-Wave devices do not communicate directly to a Router, but to a HUB--and when the HUB is hardwired to the Router, it won't disconnect when the WIFI goes out. Unlike a WIFI network where each device is connected to a router, each Z-Wave device serves as a repeater connected to a hub always providing the best data pathways. Making them extremely reliable. 💡
Z-Wave devices communicate at a 900 Mhz band, a lower frequency than your WIFI that communicates at 2.4 and 5 Ghz. As a result, you’ll have to connect Z-Wave devices to a HUB that is connected to your router through wired or wireless connection. This provides my installation as a reference.
