The difference being that if you’re listening to Cornettes podcast you’re already a wrestling fan who’s sought it out. These guys are clowning on national television where new viewers can stumble across it and be turned off

The standing Buck has the vocal cadence of a 14 year old in 2002.

Its not exposing the business thats a problem. Its already as exposed as can be. Its the coreographed looking gymnastics routines, constant match gimmicks, lack of rules, and so forth.

The guy they like, Meltzer, rates their matches better than the Austin/Rock bouts, but the honest critic who actually had good things to say about their promotion lately is a "shock jock". Seems the mental rent is being paid in a different direction than they always like to claim.

Come on now, they didn't even have the balls to actually call out Jim Cornette they just said old timers

Jim doesn't need content, he can talk his ass off on anything. He once did a review of his local post office and it was hilarious.

The difference is Cornette “exposes” the business in the context of a wrestling talk show, the Bucks expose the business by doing fake looking wrestling on a show I’m trying to watch while trying to suspend disbelief. They are great athletes, just wish they’d use their skills in a way that made more sense in a match. Not a hater here, just think they are capable of much more

Young Bucks matches are only pro wrestling matches in name - in reality they're just a series of spots and moves, showing off. Nothing believable or engrossing about it, no emotional investment, no story (i.e. the exact opposite of a Bret Hart match)... it's just a series of "wow!"s like you're at the circus - seeing full well that there is obvious co-operation (i.e. not a fight).

They belong in WWE, because they're clearly all about the "entertainment", and simply don't get the fundamentals of what made pro wrestling as popular as it was in the 20th century (and makes it struggle in the 21st). All their focus is on moves, and they could not care less about the art of making their characters/matches LEGITIMATE and BELIEVABLE.

What made Stone Cold and the NWO as hot as they were in the 90s was the feeling that they were REAL. What made Bruno Sammartino sell out Madison Square Garden gazillions of times was the fact that his supporters felt he was in REAL conflicts with these antagonists (who also felt REAL). What makes a great movie great is that the actors and producers make you believe it's REAL - even though you know it's fake. What makes pro wrestling great is when pro wrestlers - like Bret Hart, Undertaker, CM Punk, Darby Allin and MJF - make you BELIEVE that they are REAL (no matter how outlandish they might be) and make it impossible (or nearly impossible) for spectators to tell what is NOT REAL in their matches. Most Bret Hart matches feel real to this day, even though you know it's a work, because his focus was on making himself and his matches BELIEVABLE - not an exhibition of all the moves he knew/invented...

Young Bucks shouldn't be giving Jim Cornette the middle finger - they should say "thank you Sir for the feedback" and LEARN what they can out of it. Because there is A LOT that they still need to learn.

If not for the old timers that created and preserved the business that pays your bills, there would not even be a young bucks. Cornette has forgotten more about professional wrestling than you will ever know.
