Ultrasound Guided IV Access is a really important procedure that all clinicians should learn.

Using ultrasound is faster and the patient will not have to suffer as many sticks.

Setup is important. Positioning the machine, setting up the depth and gain are all important factors for successful completion of the US guided IV cannulation

Technique -
Bevel down - Controversial but allows better visualization of needle tip. Reduces the incidence of flash-back but cannot advance the cannula.

Long vs Short Axis - A combination of short axis initially and then confirmation with long axis visualization of the cannula in the vein is probably best.

Follow the tip of the needle - Key point. Important that you visualize this the whole time to know exactly where the needle tip is.

Angle down - just before entry into the vein, reduce the angle of the needle to skin.

Pretty good video.
Wouldn't have had your floating head for the video though. Too small to add anything and was covering some of the details that you were trying to specifically comment on, like at 11:49 or a bit before. There a picture of the vein being entered but floating head directly on it.
