There’s something pretty important left out of the Procreate part. The reason why it’s very limited is because each frame is a single layer (and then you have these individual layers for each frame), and Procreate has a *frame limit.* This means that you have a limited amount of frames you can make. Thus, you can have a super-short animation, but nothing big. Procreate would be an absolutely amazing animation app if the frames weren’t layers.

Thank you so much for this review! 👍 Can’t wait to see what you will create from features to come in next versions.

Great video! I agree Callipeg is definitely high on the list. I’ve only just transitioned to using it and it is definitely powerful. I was surprised not to see rough animator make the list at all. That’s what I’ve used to make all of my films so far. Very powerful and super easy to learn and use!

I would like to talk about how procreate is mainly for art and they tried adding more by adding the animation. It is also extremely innovative and simple for beginner artists. I honestly really appreciate the creators and if they have new updates, I’m gonna look forward to them :)

Thank you!!! Now I won’t have to rely on FlipaClip and their 3 layers (not like it’s bad or anything)

I’ve never heard of Callipeg, thanks so much for introducing it to me. Also great video, I love how you have mini tutorials for each app, keep up the great work!

Animation Pro is a another powerful animation app. It's not a frame by frame but its still pretty good, some of the features.
Rigging your own figures is easy and you can import transparent PNGs for body parts or draw them in the app.
You can position figures over live camera for stop motion.
Tweening with powerful key framing.
Cloned figures (your specified adjustments done to original apply to the clone)
Audio to frames
Filters (blur, distort, shading, tinting etc) that can be tweened.

I really appreciate the variation in complexity of the apps! I started out on flipaclip, and eventually I just found myself wanting something more complex- I’m very excited to try some of these!

I like FlipaClip a lot but sometimes it’s impossible for me to create a animation which is like one of those in yt so I’m thinking of switching. I saw the video really helped me make a choice! Thank you!

This is such a fantastic video. I wish to learn animation on my iPad pro and read through about all these apps in various articles, but I got so confused in the end. But this video made everything clear. Now I can fully go ahead with Callipeg!!
