How I Keep My Chain Looking New

Mr. Rambo makes another appearance and In this video I explain the products and steps I use to clean my chain.
I talk about the importance of using eye protection as well as keeping your work area covered to prevent staining on clean surfaces. I mention the importance of keeping the engine off while going through these steps.
I go into detail explaining how I use Kerosene along with a grunge brush to clean the chain. I also try out a new scrub pad that was sent to me by Tom at Grease Ninja to review. I use an air compressor on the chain to dry out the O Rings before oiling. I use my Grease Ninja adapter to oil my chain and finish by showing the before and after photos of my chain.

just saw your many videos, your careful no doubt. I block my wheel same as you to spray. As a painting contractor, kerosene lubricates leather packings in my airless paint sprayer, good cleaning choice over gasoline . Put a big pan paint rollerpan tray insert under what your cleaning.
For the vertical wheel gard cardboard, tape foil over it so it doesnt soak the cardboard.

Agree that the Grease Ninja is great. I have one for my motorcycles and a smaller one for my bicycle. And kerosene is a great chain cleaner. I save pizza boxes so that I have cardboard to protect my garage floor and the bike's rear wheel from my chain cleaning and oiling escapades.
