Better Than Faber-Castell? Artisto Watercolor Pencils Review

We discovered the Artisto brand in our last video, where they won our pick for the best budget colored pencils. After that we began to wonder, are their watercolor pencils just as good as their colored pencils? So we purchased a set to test against the 26 other watercolor pencil brands that we tested about 4 years ago. In that test, Faber-Castell Albrecht Durer was the clear winner…would there be any chance that Artisto could beat Albrecht Durer? We didn’t think there was even chance…boy were we surprised!

Thank you Jennifer!!! I remember my Artisto as being pretty excellent! Then I tried Castle Arts watercolor pencils... not as good... left marks on the paper after using the water!!! I finally bought Faber Castell colored pencils 36 set and Albrecht Durer 36 set. Colors match!!! Happy camper! My granddaughters are enjoying the Artisto 72 set!!! Albrecht Dürer is my favorite brand, but speaking about the budget pencils, I rather have the General's Kimberly, even with their color selection which is way less than the Artisto, just because the GK can be bought open stock.
I stopped buying art supplies that cant be bought open stock cause once a color one really likes or needs is finished, the only option is to buy a whole new set! I refuse to do that.
That aside, Im impressed with the Artisto performance.

Hello ya all. I have been gone for a few but my love is watercolor pencils with my mixed media art. I can manipulate them to do amazing things. But I have to say the music in the beginning is a little distracting cuz it takes away from what you are saying which for me is really important. I can be having a real anxiety driven episode and I tune in to one of your videos and you calm me right down so thank-you for that. I appreciate you guys .

2:47 Why is it, labeled: DESIGNED in the USA - American flag - AMERICAN COMPANY but MADE IN CHINA? If I would have looked at it quickly I would have seen the American flag and just assumed that it was made in America, not just designed. I've heard good things about the Artisto watercolor pencils and am glad to see your review of them! I have the Derwent Inktense pencils which I love! I also have a few of their watercolor pencils which I use for under painting and sketching in outlines that I don't want to show. I will keep them for those purposes but not invest outside of the colors for those purposes. Thank you so much for your reviews!
