Trike PPG Training at Kyle O School of Paramotor

Wheeled training, initiated! Just around the corner, wheeled flight training will get a whole lot easier at my paramotor school. As some of you may know, learning to drive the trike is the hardest part of trike training. Even a minor mistake could end in expensive damage, and heaven forbid, injury. My plan is to prevent all of that nonsense with a better safer way to learn wheeled operations.

Also think about having a "stinger" that hangs off the back and trails on the ground. It's a safety device that when and if the trike leaves the ground the stinger drops below a certain angle and kills the motor. Even though the trike will prolly be a tank, it could still tip and the stinger would still kill the motor...

Looking forward to your progress!!!

One thing I found during training was the initial difficulty in correct throttle usage during rollout -- during my first few runs I'd roll too fast or too slow. What I'm getting at is that I thought I heard you mention about getting the speed right. I'd say have the throttle just as it is on a PPG to let the student learn it. If you have it preset for safety the student will miss out on a valuable part of the training experience.

Also just sent you an Email for get my wife into trike training with you. When I told her I was doing this her response was; "Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes!" while jumping up and down.

How about step 2 being a motor less cart that you tow up with your tow rig?
