In the shooting script of ALIENS (1986), the scene where Vasquez asks Ferro about Ripley was supposed to take place during a co-ed shower scene aboard the Sulaco. The idea of marines of both sexes showering together was to show gender equality within the marine corps. According to the actors, at the last moment, the decision to film it was left to the actresses involved, who weren't too enthusiastic about the idea, so the scene was rewritten to occur in the locker room instead.

Vasquez was trying to trick her foster son John Conner. John's dog Max saved his life. On board the HMS Titanic Vasquez read her younglings a bedtime story before taking the plunge to the bottom of the Atlantic ocean. Vasquez even served on the U.S.S. Excelsior commanded by Captain Sulu. 😮

I don't think the men would have been too pleased about it either honestly, I mean most of them would have probably had wives and girlfriends. Personally I don't think it would have added anything to the movie. In my opinion Alien was perfect, a shower scene could have cheapened the movie.
