I hope y'all are smart enough that this doesn't need to be said, but I've seen people make this mistake: Make sure you get peppermint FLAVORING. Make sure it _says it is for food._ Peppermint extract, essence or oil are not necessarily for food and will be toxic. Make sure it is flavoring specifically for candy making. They are not the same thing.
