Learn Russian. ТАКОЙ and ТАК - so, such, as...as.. (Beginners)

ТАК and ТАКОЙ have the same translation in English - "as, so, such", but they are not interchangeable.

ТАК is used with adverbs
ТАКОЙ is used with nouns and pronouns

Мой дом такой же большой, как твой
My house is as big as yours

Я учусь так же хорошо, как ты
I study as well as you do

Я бегаю так же быстро, как ты
I run as fast as you do

Моя квартира такая же большая, как твоя
My apartment is as big as yours

Это окно такое же большое, как то
This window is as big as that one

Эти книги такие же интересные, как те
These books are as interesting as those

Thanks, this actually made me realize a very basic (not to say stupid) mistake I was making in English, and even in my own native language (Portuguese). I thought that everything that followed the verb "to be" was an adverb but they're adjectives since they modify the noun itself and not the verb "to be".

Thank you for the great lesson. @ 3:58 you indicate that такой, такая, такое, и такие to be used before the nouns and pronouns. However in the examples they were used after the nouns. But before the adjectives.

кстати Анастасия, я как иностранец предлагаю делать видеосы для продвинутых, знаете в интернете и в том числе в ютйюбе много видео про простые слова и простые глаголы русского языка, но действительно в ютйюбе не хватает видеосов о глаголах которые более испулзуются и слышатся в разговоре русскими людьми, я не про простые глаголы как " учить " или " читать " и... о них достаточно много видео в ютйюбе,
я про глаголы которых с равнением с предыдущими может быть не так часто говорятся, но все равно они тоже нужны, например "глотать", "оскорблять" " жмать" " "тащить " и т.д
