This is easily one of the most highly underrated and underappreciated videos on youtube. I spotted a handful of improvements for v2, but it's still incredible as is.

When I was little, I had a dream of having a river in the backyard foyer that is connected to tap water. So when you need water, you scoop from the river instead of tap. Seeing this is sort of a confirmation that I could, maybe one day is that far future, make my dream real.

Really neat take on the "river table". However, I'm not so sure that styrofoam was the best choice as it does water log after it gets wet for a while. You may find that there might be a mold or mildew issue down the road. You may wind up have to redo that part. Really looks cool though.

Lovely table, lovely filming, but I am worried about the longevity of the table, I've used that spray paint as a clear finish before and it itself is not very durable I would love to see an update after a month or two to see how the table is holding up

I’d wonder if he couldn’t upscale these and to sell them to, say, Japanese restaurants and the like. I would think they’d love the inclusion of nature into the eating experience like this. But bottom line is this is absolutely beautiful. Great job Drew

This is beyond amazing!!!

I am an artist and designer / mountain, rock and water freak ~ this literally had me in tears.

Just recently became disabled and in a wheelchair so no more forging with bronze or time in sculpture labs.

Thank you with all my heart for this gift of nature for inside a home.

I can’t get out and hike in my Rocky Mountains in Alberta Canada anymore so for a few moments you made me feel like I was in my “backyard” collecting rocks on my journeys !!

Fantastic !!! ( drying happy tears!!! )

This is absolutely insane. I wish I had one to put in my place. Imagine falling asleep in the living room to the homemade river noises 😭 incredible work man. So much respect 🫡

Love the concept of this table! The preserved moss eventually dry and lose color, with a running water feature you could use live moss that would both spread and last. Great design. Keep up the good work!

I dunno how this was 8 months ago and hasn't hit 100k likes. That craftsmanship was phenomenal and the entire process was extremely satisfying to watch from start to finish. Well done man!

This is how you win and put an end to the epoxy craze. Well done drew. Absolutely incredible work.

I can't tell you how much I appreciate a "diy" project that is actually done in an average Jo shop with typical home shop tools. Well done!

Thanks for this! I am about 80% done with my own version of this. I added some strip LEDs, a power outlet and usb ports on the side, and added a glass cover for the side as well as the top. Overall it was a ton of work but it's coming along really well. I used styrofoam for the base like you did but i soaked it in spray paint and spray lacquer to help waterproof it more. Otherwise, I pretty much followed what you did here and managed to come up with something pretty nice. Thanks again for the awesome video and inspiration!

Hi Drew, enjoyed the video. How has the table aged over the last 2 years? Any issues with Leakage, mold etc?

Wow. There's nothing better or more restful than being surrounded by nature. The way you've brought nature indoors is so beautiful. Another fabulous project.

I live in Japan and enjoy various DIY projects, but your crafts are amazing. This craft was something I dreamed of a long time ago when I was a child. It becomes reality and is right in front of you. Oh my god. I'm in the mood to start building it tomorrow.

I'm impressed that wobbly folding table held up the wood slab. 10/10
