Yes! The addition of the lighter colored items and faux plants has given the room life. I had the same problem with a black bookcase. I added a bunch of white items inside for the holidays and it really helped. Oops just noticed there are still white snowflakes in there LOL!

Hi Crystal! Like all the decor additions! The mirror looks really good on the mantel....the whole mantel looks great! I actually hit up our Target today but didn't really see any of the newer items. That's not unusual for our store, though! I just took down the Easter decor....guess I had more items out than I thought! I may add some Fourth items up but will probably wait until the end of May. Seems nice to have everything more on the simple side. Just enjoying all the white, greenery and florals.
