Low platelets | What are the symptoms? | What are the causes? | What should we do?

Normal platelet count ranges between 150,000 to 400,000. Human body can tolerate platelet counts of as low as 20,000. There are several common causes of low platelets which are:
1. Laboratory error (repeat CBC report if low platelets count is detected)_
2. ITP
3. TTP
4. Malaria infection
5. Dengue infection
6. Aplastic anemia
