West Bengal: ED conducts raids in medical college admission quota corruption case

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Tuesday conducted raids at several places in West Bengal in connection with a medical college admission quota corruption case.
According to reports, fraudulent certificates were submitted in exchange for money, facilitating admissions to medical colleges.
Raids are underway since early morning and Central forces have been deployed outside the medical colleges.
ED is raiding various private medical colleges of the state including Haldia, Durgapur, Kolkata, Bidhannagar and Saltlake City.
The raids are conducted at Shri Ramkrishna Institute of Medical Sciences and Sanaka Hospitals, near Malandighi, Kanksa and other medical institute in Shobhapur of Bijon, Durgapur.
