Made from the original mold for the Mechanical Jaws props to hang at universal studios theme park, then sent to a junk yard and saved by the own who hung it there for decades, then given to Greg Nicotero who refurbished it and finally gave it to the Museum. Bruce Has a true riches to rags to riches story.

I wish the Jaws ride was still operational at Universal Studios Florida to this day with the animatronic shark rebuilt to look like that instead of having it replaced by The Wizarding World of Harry Potter - Diagon Alley/London.

When I first saw this guy hanging in a junkyard in an E! True Hollywood Story special, I kind of had fantasies about sneaking this guy home and keeping him. lol Having this important movie prop be restored and put in a place that will care for it and keep it in good shape is good enough for me. :)

In 1975 Time magazine had a one page article about the movie Jaws and the mechanical sharks used in the film were a large part of that, mostly to complain about the continuous mechanical difficulty they had with them. There were 3 of them, and they ran on compressed air, one of them turned right, one of them turned left and I don't recall what the third one did, one thing was for sure though, they were a mechanical nightmare continuously breaking down.

Although it's an impressive restoration i think it would have been much better to match the colour of the shark in the film together with blood on teeth etc. Create a photo shoot opportunity for guests. I don't think it looks good suspended in the air like that but I'm sure it was very costly to install. It's movie fans who are going to want to go and see it so they'd all much prefer a photo opportunity with the shark coming out the water onto the side of the Orka? The shark looks too clean and pretty colours now.

The yellowed teeth are a mistake. White sharks have ultra white teeth.

Thank God there aren't any great white sharks like that roaming the ocean.
