After watching "Quiet on Set", reading Jennette McCurdy's biography, and hearing the stories of various former child stars, I've concluded that the price of fame is too strenuous for any young person to bear. They deserve a childhood, first and foremost.

Somehow, Daniel Radcliffe has kept grounded. Perhaps its his wonderful sense of humour and kindness along with his love of his craft.

I’ll never forget how Daniel Radcliffe dealt with the paparazzi when he was in Merrily We Roll Along on Broadway; he wore the same outfit to the theater every day! (That way the paparazzi could never prove it was a different day)

Jennette McCurdy seriously deserved the better not only was she practically forced into acting by her own mother but she had to deal with abuse from her mother and Dan Schneider and many other people

I feel so bad for Jennette McCurdy as I feel she suffered more than anyone else. If you really think about it, there was nowhere safe to go. She had a psycho mother who used her for money and did unspeakable things to her daughter, but then nothing was better on set especially with Dan Schneider. Also she was forced by Nickelodeon to turn down Film roles because “Her shows were too important” while some co-stars were given breaks and all the time in the world off

Being famous looks like a fucking nightmare. My anxiety is already horrible as it is, I can only imagine what these guys go through

It really sickens me how Jennette McCurdy was forced into acting because of her narcissistic mother and was completely traumatized by the unapologetic Dan Schneider during her time as a Nickelodeon star. What Jennette McCurdy does with her life is up to her. She’s not obligated to be an actress or country singer. As a matter of fact, I like Jennette much better as a book author than an actress and that’s something we should all respect. Heck, I can’t even look at iCarly (2007) or Sam and Cat or any Nickelodeon show created by Dan Schneider the same way again because of what happened to her. I have her book I’m Glad My Mom Died and reading it brought me to tears and anticipate any future books she publishes

I’ve never wanted to be famous. Rich, sure. But, if I was wealthy, no one would ever know that I existed…

After the Quiet on Set documentary I think Drake Bell deserved a spot on this list. The things he went through would destroy a majority of us but he has pushed through and is doing well now.

9:55, We all knew that Jennette McCurdy would be #1 on the list.
Its still weird that it looked like she had a nice time working on iCarly & Sam and Cat, but we never once suspect what really went on BEHIND the scenes at all.

Jennette McCurdy’s tragic story is the reason why T.V. networks should make sure actors are enthusiastic and passionate about acting in order to avoid toxic controversies like this. Jennette’s story hurt Miranda and everyone around her. These toxic controversies make it difficult for enthusiastic actors to book an agent to represent them. I have Cerebral Palsy. I use a posture control walker and power wheelchair for mobility. I figured having a big career on Netflix could help improve my social practice and inclusion. My high school refused to make accommodations for me to take acting classes. Now I understand why my mom and the majority of my family was so hesitant about paying for my classes and my headshots. I'm 29 years old. I’m currently finishing up my Bachelor’s Degree in Film at Bridgewater State University by this Christmas.

Gary Coleman has been open about his time on Diff’rent Strokes and how his parents cared more about money than him. Same with Todd Bridges who was sexually abused as a child, and dealt with an abusive alcoholic father and addiction.

I would do it so my family could live comfortably, my mom deserves that after everything she's done for my siblings and me

ofcourse i'd like to be famous for my talents, but the part where random strangers know every detail of my life will freak me out, plus i never liked being the center of attention, so if i'm going out, i don't wanna be constantly bothered by strangers. but the money would be good, it would be very good.

Society is the worst thing actors have to go through. They are subjected to a lot of bullying and body shaming. It is wrong.

I can feel what these young celebrities go through with mental health although I'm not a celebrity but I deal with mental health disorders and I know first hand what they feel like and sometimes how they have to hide it. Jennette McCurdy her life I went through the same thing she did maybe a little different way. I now deal with a diagnosis of PTSD and bipolar 1 and multiple personalities and moderate anxiety and agoraphobia because of all the trauma I've been through from the time I was young. Anyone of those actors or actresses are always welcome to talk with me and I can tell them what I've been through and maybe I can show them never give up. Plus I will share with all of you my motto it's called ruthless determination to believe to achieve.
