As far as I can tell this is unlikely to work in this form.

My sim wasn't working after an update so I reset my ipad. I reinstalled 15.5 several times to no avail. Then I downgraded to the previous OS using itunes....that didn't work. Finally I re upgraded it to the current OS (using itunes) and this time it not only worked but also fixed the sim card issue. It appears my 2nd hand ipad pro had maintained a bug that only downgrading and then upgrading the OS could fix....a factory reset did nothing. A basic issue like this would be fixed in 2 mins in windows, linux and an apple device, 6 hours
