Quite expensive, though it does sound good. But for the price you could get a Tubescreamer clone, a clean boost and an EQ pedal. You'd have way more options.

riff at 15:26 is similar to Far From Heaven from Fit for an Autopsy and I can't not hear it haha. This thing sounds so beefy. I can hear at certain points it does that Fortin thing where it gets a little quacky but that SLO FAAAHKKK ME it sounds good

Excellent video as usual. I keep my Horizon Precision drive, i think it is better than this Tempest.
It's very good but there are too much excellent pedal in this range 😉

I suppose this pedal is also boosting some mids, or at least can add more harmonic content since its an overdrive. I've been using a Broughton Audio HPF+LPF+Boost pedal to accomplish the same thing. High and Low pass with just a pure boost instead of a drive, but being able to control the lows and highs is essential to help get that 'studio quality' tone.
Great video and showing people how different amps need some different shaving in the bottom and top end.

Seems very similar to the VFE Dragon OD. Of course, VFE is no longer producing pedals. So, it's good to have this option as the VFE is hard to come by..

The first "Architects" overdrive was the Kartakou - Warmer OD

I know Architects use it with low drive, but a cleaner or even clean tone with some drive would have been cool.
Just to hear the pedal itself a bit better and not so much what it does with the Kraken even tho this is the main purpose.

Bea you should run this into a clean amp, I’m pretty sure this is just an overdrive to really hit the front end of the gain stage of your amp but I was wondering if you can just use it as a overdrive LMAO AMAZING PLAYING BTW

I don't know if it's just me. It probably is.. But ive been playing 45 years..had a DOD distortion in the 80's that worked great with a jcm 800. Never ever found a distortion since that didn't sound better turned off. Like I said. probably just me. But they should just have one control.. FIZZ. to Example.. The SLO so much better without the fizz box.
