A University of Washington School of Medicine research team is taking a major step in its quest to regenerate damaged cells within the retina, by testing its method on human cells for the first time. Tom Reh, a professor of biological structure whose lab is conducting the research, breaks down his team's progress. The study's lead author, postdoctoral researcher Levi Todd, is also featured in the video.
