Tony's Dashcam - Ford Mustang cutting me off? #211

As I approached the sliproad to join the A11, I built up speed as you do. I looked to my right, there is a gap for me to merge in and with the red car way behind me sow as safe to move into the gap. As I was about to do that, a red Ford Mustang decided it would be good idea to speed up, moved to 2nd lane to overtake me and then moved back to lane 1 TOO EARLY, as if he wanted to cut me off.

So did the driver do that on purpose? And if so, what was he hoping to achieve? Nothing, apart from putting everyone in danger!!

good catch by you for keeping a eye on him. he may have just been stupid and changed lanes just to change lanes not bothering to check the merge lane

Agreed but it really grinds my gears when people attempt to join a dual carriageway or motorway doing 30mph and EXPECT everyone to make way.

That colour distortion is really cool!

Basically MPEG video is made up of two signals; luminosity (luma) and chrominance (chroma), the luma is just black and white, basically just the shadows and stuff, the chroma is the colour, but it doesn't contain any shadow detail and whatnot. 

So what's happening there is the chroma is offset slightly, notice how the car and other elements are black and white but for part of it the colour matches up. No idea why it's happened, but it looks really cool. I was once on a bus which had a display showing the cameras around the bus but it was only displaying the chroma signal.

I always check the slip road well in-advance, then move over to the second land if safe, as a good driver will know this is a very crucial part & dangerous place to pass, & this total idiot clustermonkey mustang driver done that on purpose or he cannot driver... :( that was foolish thing to do, glad your OK.
