Director of the Museum of Literature Ireland Simon O’Connor presents MoLI in a talk with TBIH's Russell Briggs. In 2023 it won the European Heritage Award / Europa Nostra Grand Prix for Citizens’ Engagement & Awareness-raising.
The Museum of Literature Ireland opened in 2019 as a collaboration between University College Dublin, and the National Library of Ireland. It is located in the original home of the university in the centre of Dublin city, in a suite of spectacular historic houses, with private gardens and links to a secret city centre park. Amongst its many exhibits are included notable items from the National Library’s literary collections. MoLI has won numerous awards since opening, including Red Dot Best Exhibition Design 2020, IDEA Exhibition Design Gold Award 2021, was shortlisted for the European Mies Van Der Rohe Architecture Award 2022 and longlisted for EMYA 2022.
