Back at the very first Derby City Classic at the Executive West Hotel in Louisville Kentucky, the one pocket division came down to Efren Reyes and Tang Hoa.

On paper, Reyes would have been a big favorite in this match, but Hoa already had notable wins over Cliff Joyner, Shannon Daulton, Nick Varner and his opponent Efren Reyes in this event.

This was a race to three and Hoa had a buyback, so Reyes would have to beat him twice,

Man, that 4-ball combo @1:00:45 is so deceptive ... bc Efren makes the difficult look easy.
Look at that shot in slow-motion ... he had to shoot the 3 into the 12? precise enough to DEF. NOT touch the 1 ... or he'd've missed the combo by a mile ... and also avoided hitting the 12 on the high side. He had the width of a ball in order to hit the correct part of the 13-ball. If you don't play well enough to understand throw you'll question the veracity of my statement ... but to those of you who do -- upon reviewing it slowly, it's just another instance of Effie making the difficult look routine.
