Maps Are The Most Important Thing In Fire Emblem and I'm here to tell you why! This is day Two of Fire Emblem in February completed. I've always wanted to do a map analysis for F.E.F so today I decided to just go ahead and do it! This video is likely going to be used as metrics for the things I look at for an interesting map in the future. Almost every map I brought up is something I want to talk about in detail for a future video this month, being Fire Emblem 4 Chapters 5 & 6 and Thracians opening act. Battle Before Dawn is super hard though but I see what you are saying.

Yeah, I agree with you on chapter 12 of Three Houses. The atmosphere is IMMACULATE. The map song playing during the preparation screen letting you know shit is getting serious still gives me chills after like 9 playthroughs of the game. BUT I would say chapter 17 of Crimson Flower possibly accomplishes even more with immersion and atmosphere. The music, the cutscenes and dialogue before, during, and after the battle, the MAP design. Three Houses has mostly fine maps but I LOVE the Tailtean Plains and I wish we could’ve used it more than once in the whole game. Going back to the same place Seiros defeated Nemesis in the opening was so awesome

Couldn’t agree more as a bit so avid fan of fire emblem, it is always the fights on well designed were I felt strategically challenged that I remember the most
