Some things I forgot to mention is that the ifi nano dac also has better quality bass too, high low gain on the e10k does not make much of a difference but I do prefer high gain because it's a little cleaner with a little more volume, and the fiio q1 mark ii bass boast does make the volcals a tiny bit louder. Also the dac out of the E10K is full line out which means the volume nob bass boast and high low gain does nothing and the dac requires no drivers. Also the fiio volume nob when turning it has a little bit of distortion in the right channel but is fine once you stop touching it.

I like the detail you go into, you do a good job. The E10K was the first component that got me into YouTube reviews and HeadFi. I’d ordered an HD-6XX off Massdrop and began investigating DACS and amps. At that stage I didn’t know headphones benefited from amping, and I had never even heard of a DAC. Didn’t end up buying the E10K, I got a portable unit instead, but it was the first series of reviews I ever watched.
Your videos would look better if you got the camera up higher, on a cheap tripod or stack of books? Kind of feels like I’m a dog sitting on the floor waiting for you to throw me a biscuit 😂

Great review on the E10K! I have one already and was recommending it to a friend but I think I'll tell him to get the Q1's instead! I like how in-depth you went, I learned a lot from your video!

I have beyerdynamic dt 770 pro 250 ohm... Sould I take fiio e10k or q1 mark 2 (also why are they about the same price if the mark 2 is clearly better)? Btw are these strong enough to run my cans 250 ohm or should I pick something else... Whats our recommendation? (my budget is about the price of these two fiios)

Great video review. I was looking more reviews of this DAC when I came across your's. I want something more than my onboard audio which frankly is crap right now. Motherboard is 7 years old and I need an external sound card or a USB DAC like this one to keep me going. My question is.. Will this E10K dac suffice for normal needs including gaming ? Does this work like an external sound card ? I do not have high impedance headphones, just my earphones for now and maybe a 32ohm headphone sometime later. I need your opinion on this. Is it good for my usage ?
