Madara thought in cases of duality. Good and evil existing at the same time. What we consider winning and losing, the victors and the vanquished, loved and lost. The idea that such duality in essence creates pain and suffering, and eventually hatred and war. Which he isn't wrong. But his entire premise of Project Tsukinome was to erase that duality. He wanted to allow everyone to dream their own victories, their own successes, but not have those victories and successes to overshadow those around them.
