my brother has this but its due to his life style as he has been over weight for years (20+) and on a lot of drugs for health issues

looking back i understand i have not been lucky in not getting it myself but i have with out knowing been systematically protecting myself ageist it. Cutting out flour, sugar, meat, processed food, and eating 12 cups rag vegetables per day along with exercise. There is a real feeling of helplessness and despair as the damage cannot be undone. But he does refuse to eat healthy food, i can only do so much as in lead a horse to water but cannot make it drink :(
