I know this demo is 9 years old, but still great demo. I like my pickups brighter (which is why I have strats & tele's) But have been looking for that 'noiseless' P90 tone. (I like the Fralin P92's a bit better than these, but one Fralin gets me 2.2 of these :-) ) You showed me what these sound like in multiple settings while focusing on the demo, instead of your playing. You stayed on topic really well, and it was by far the best bluesbucker demo I have seen.
I had my core 408 altered by PRS itself and putting in the Brent Mason (private Stock) switching (with single in middle position as well). And the pickups didn't give me the sounds I wanted.
Yours are what I was looking for then, so thank you for this demo. I wich everyone that did demo's could focus as well on the topic of the video.

Great demo. You helped me decide on replacement pups for my Epi Les Paul. I play mostly classic rock, some blues, even some country. These will give me exactly the sounds I'm looking for.

For the better part of a decade I go back and find these video wondering why I kept needing to see it... earlier today I finally realized why: so I typically HATE the neck pickup placement of new 24 fret guitars. that said, Satriani's 2400 taught us we can get a rail right up close to the board as, technically, it would end where a humbucker of a 22 pickup would end. So this may be a way for people with RG/JEM style HSH guitars to get a killer single coil sound out of a 24 fret guitar, buck hum, and not have it too watered down. I'm going to test this theory, though thank you for making this killer demo so long ago giving us options.

I like it. Positions 2&4 sound nice and chimey. Distorted sounds have a great upper midrange that cuts through. Great harmonic content.

Haha, thanks! I recommend the Bluesbuckers simply because they are humbucking and you can split them for more "strat-y" tones. I believe most of what you're hearing here is my Mesa Mark IV through my Splawn 2x12 cab.

I agree that it sounds SRVish. Very nice demo. I have one in an LTD singlecut but after hearing your demo, I'm going to put pairs of them in at least three of my guitars.
