B#stards !
Tony if you get some of that polytunnel repair tape, the wide stuff it will stick together no problem and you should get away with it this year.
Honestly it's so sticky and strong it will fix it.
If you stick it both inside and out over the slashes it'll be as strong as it was before honestly.
Get the 6" wide stuff or wider and you'd be amazed at the results.
Good Luck, Dan.

Sometime folks are just "damaged" Tony..
I truly hope this is a one off by such a person & not premeditated damage :/

My thumb up is a support for you, mate.
I ask the same question, why do some always vandalize things that`s nice? Without thinking of how much they harm others.
I feel so sorry for you just now. I know how much effort, money and time you`ve put into that polytunnel.
Hope you find a good method of fixing the plastic.

Best wishes,
Halvor.

I hope you keep going. I have to say that is by far the best polytunnel I have seen yet. The care you took in building this touched me. I am a new subscriber but I am among friends. God Bless

I'm sorry for what happened. I hope your plants are ok. This is why I have 3 dogs roaming the house and are trained that when I shut all the lights if it's not one of us they will bite. but at the same time their's nice people like Dale. United Succulents

Shocking Tony. To be honest I was fed up earlier, after being away working for a couple of days, to find that a slug had wiped out rows of my seedlings. Its all relative. But the slugs are a natural challenge we face and we have to accept. This is a human that has made a decision to do this. That is much harder to accept. All we can hope for is that Carma is real and take strenght from the offers below from the real gardeners who appreciate the sweat and tears that goes into creating a plot like yours. Keep the head up, tape it up and prove them wrong with a great harvest! Mossy.

Tony, just seen the video mate and I'm gutted. It's so upsetting and beyond words. To think all of the hours and hours that's gone into it all too. I just don't know what to say. It's always been my biggest fear.
My tunnel, although very basic has made so much difference to me as it's the only form of shelter I have to work in, not to mention how it was all self built and it was truly inspired by watching all of your uploads. This is just sickening !!!!

Tony, I doubt there are any words that could be said that would make you feel any better. Obviously someone is jealous, envious and has a feeling of inadequacy when they look at the excellent work you are doing. Although it will knock the wind out of your sails I hope you will recover and have a good growing season. All the best. Greg

I am so sorry this has happened to you. If I was not across the pond from you I would be over in a heart beat to help you repair the damage.  It so sad people have to be this way. All we can do as my Mom, and Grandparents would say is " We just have to Pray for them"

Like Dan said Tony, the tape is great. I had a slash similar size and the tape has held it tight.

What can I say, I think all comments you have cover how we all think about the damage!
This actually happened to me a few year ago, I found the best way was to mend using the correct Tunnel tape. It come's in 2" and 4" widths, you will need some one inside the tunnel with a strip of wood, wider than the cut,  tape over outside pushing onto the wood, repeat again from the inside, our repairs lasted for 5 years!
For under £10 you can buy battery operated door alarms, position about a metre high (Foxes will then not break the beam)  and about 3/4 metres apart anyone then breaking the beam and sound is emitted, we found intruders never stayed around to look for the source of the noise!

Some people are just mindless scum bags.
I hope you can repair it without to much trouble.

We had something similar happen 18 months ago, a few of the lads on the allotment found out who it was (by chance) and 'sorted the problem out', so far we have had no trouble since. Don't let them put you off mate.

I'm so sorry Tony! Sometimes there's nothing to understand, just stupidity that's all. I see Dale got you covered, I'm glad he's a really good man!

Don't be discourage bro, just learn from this! The world is not a nice place, because there are more bad people than good...just maintain your courage and keep plant, growing etc. Blessings.

Some people are plain stupid and jealous. Instead of following a good example they would rather destroy what You build.
Hope You will manage to fix the damage. Good luck and take care.
