You should definitely use the smaller needle, the 75/11 is a great choice. Personally I use microtex type as they are very sharp and make very tiny holes.

The project is what determines the needle, not the machine.

The accent block is very cute! Maybe going forward with the Gnomes sew one complete row at a time. Think it would be less confusing. As far as needle size I would check what your manual says. I would use the needle size the machine came with. I know with my Singer Patchwork it calls for 80/12. I have a lot of the 90/14 needles too but have never tried it in my machine. I thought that size was for heavier weight fabrics but I could be mistaken. Good luck figuring it out. See you next time.

You sewed the blue ones correctly, just put the red on the wrong end 😮. I feel so much better about my sewing now😂... Just sayin'. A little bit gorgeous... red to the middle, white to the middle, almost sounded like a ursery rhyme. Hugs, Chel 🌸
