People can be kinda cringe. They see someone lift 500kg, something that really shouldn’t be possible yet people manage it anyways, and instead of thinking “that’s impressive” they think “one man did a different lift, that’s cringe, I should flame them in the comments”. Like, who cares? It’s not as if this video is an official list with important parameters, it’s just a compilation of heavy deadlifts, I’d like to see you lift 500kg if you think it’s so easy

Eddie Hall's lift will always be the stand out. he took the record from 462 to 500. before that everyone was adding 1kg to break the previous record and again after Eddie Hall, they are all just adding 1kg to break his record

Eddie took looked at a record and said, lets break it by 38kg.

The fact that they even managed to lift it off the ground is already mindblowing

I really hope Makarov makes it one day, even if it 500 and not the record. It will be really inspiring to see him never give up and succeed.

Cool how humans have maxed out on such a satisfying number

Eddie Hall’s deadlift is the best of all time, not only did he smash the record by 38 kg, he did it in competition, he broke down the door for everyone else to walk through

This video is a proof that Sumo IS CHEATING! It is completely different lift, and should never be considered as a deadlift!

Respect to Ivan Makarov for almost deadlifting 505kg, that's not easy feat at all, 4kg more than Thor himself.

Two guys around 105-110kg bodyweight have pulled 500+ sumo and raw compared to two guys both over 200kg bodyweight pulling 500+ conventional with suits.

The record in every weight class except 90kg is sumo, and the only reason the 90kg record is conventional is because it's John Haack, 2nd and 3rd place records are both sumo.

Can we all just accept that at the highest levels, sumo gives you an advantage?

And Grizzly casually walking in the background is a top notch detail!!

20 years ago this weight was impossible.
Now many huge men in different rulesets have got that bar in the air. It's incredible how far we've come.

Eddie remains the only to achieve in competition.

love how you can see, that almost every failed attempt failed at the same height off the ground that would be locked in sumo :D

Eddie Hall's will always be my favorite

This is insane. Just the amount of strength required to even move it an inch is crazy. This seems like the limit of human strength in this particular competition.

Makarov is just getting closer and closer, surely he gets it one day!

The most iconic lift ever, Eddie 👌🏻

First to do it, beat old record by 30+kg and all this in official competition. Still the official record.

People just don’t get how fking hard it is when it gets to elite levels. For normal human beings a jump from 100kg deadlift to 200kg is impressive and will take shit ton of hardwork and times. 200kg to 300kg is already insane. But reaching the 300/400kg gate those people are dying to gain even just for 20kg on their deadlift. Seeing these guy attempting 500kg I’m so happy for them . Out of all the sports I would say they serve all the respect and it is very much underrated, you can be good at a sport activity with the aids of talent and gene but in strongman or powerlifting whatever you call it it’s more about the dedication, sheer mind power and extreme discipline. You can’t just get crazy strong and big by talent, it’s all blood and sweat.
