I had one person try to pull that on me. They offered the title to their car. I said "OK, but the car stays in storage, which I'll pay for" they nixed the deal.

Usually they aren’t really sold on the show but never sell to a pawn shop do research and get an appraisal without selling from a few places than sell for slightly below the appraisal

It seems like the wise thing to do would be to let them appraise your valuable. Then get a signed/notarized document attesting it's appraised value. At a pawn shop their business is to buy a high value item for the least cost, then mark up the price. Get that item appraised then post on an online auction house or eBay.

Rick is such a scam artist, always bull$hitting, the expert will say “it’s in very high demand every collector wants this for their collection”and then he tells the customer “I’m taking all the risk, plus it will probably sit on my shelf for a year” then offers them like 50% of the experts quote, such a dishonest human being, he is literally the last person I’d go to if I wanted to sell anything
