Felonius Gru (popularly known as Gru) is the primary character in the Despicable Me franchise. He is the son of Marlena Gru and the late Robert Gru. Gru is a grouchy, quick-witted, and cynical former supervillain who serves, along with the spouse of AVL agent Lucy Wilde, as a secret agent in order to fight other supervillains. He has three adoptive daughters named Margo, Edith, and Agnes. Gru is the Minions' leader, buddies with Dr. Nefario, and Dru Gru's twin brother.
